Well we are comming down toward the end of the NHL season and here are the standings for each conference:
Eastern Conference:
1. Boston Bruins 2. Washington Capitals 3. New Jeresy Devils 4. Philadelphia Flyers 5. Montreal Canadiens 6. New York Rangers 7. Buffalo Sabres 8. Florida Panthers 9. Carolina Hurricanes 10. Pittsburgh Penguins.
Western Conference:
1. San Jose Sharks 2. Detroit Red Wings 3. Calgary Flames 4. Chiago Blackhawks 5. Dallas Stars 6. Anaheim Ducks 7. Vancouver Canucks 8. Minnesota Wild 9. Columbus Blue Jackets 10. Edmonton Oilers 11. Los Angles Kings
I think that the East will finish the way it is but eighth place will go back and forth with Florida, Carolina and Pittsburgh but with the Panthers just making it. Out in the west I think it will come down to the last couple of games untill we find out who will make it in. All it is in the West is just a few points seperating the 5-8 spots.
Note: top eight teams in each conference make the playoffs.

The Weekend
Well it was another busy weekend in sports expecally since there was no football!!! OMG!!! In college basketball the Orange lost another one this time to the Louisville Cardnals. In hockey it was the NHL all-star weekend in montreal. The final ended up being 12-11 east in a shootout. The first shootout since the 2003 all-star game. Former Yankee skipper Joe Torre ripps A-Rod and G.M. Brian Cashman in his new book. I think he has some guts for doing that despite being with the team for a decade.

Title Games
Well this is it. Confrence Championship weekend is comming up and there is two great matchups with the Ravens and Steelers in the AFC and the Cardinals and Eagles in the NFC. My prediction is that the Steelers will come back in the second half of their game and win it 35-24 even though the Ravens have one of the better denfenses in the league. In the other game I see the Eagles taking a early lead and keeping it to beat the Cardinals 24-10. Just yesterday Colts head coach Tony Dungy retired after his seventh season with the team. I think it is a sad thing for a coach like himself leaves the game after being in the league for such a long time as he was but the future looks bright for him. Heck he may even join Obama and help him fix things out. Well good luck Tony and have a happy retirement.

Recap
Its been a while since i have done one of these so first off happy new year. Things are really starting to heat up now in the NFL after this weekend with the Cardnals, Eagles, Ravens and Chargers comming up on top. This weekend will be intresting with old foes the Eagles taking on the Giants in New York and the winner of that facing the winner of the Arizona-Carolina game.
Well there were big upsets in men's college basketball with UNC and UCONN both losing games to Boston College and Georgetown. While Syracuse has had big wins over Seton Hall and USF. And out of both games Andy Rautins had seven three pointers which where huge for the orange.
